Laptop stops charging out of nowhere?

last night i charged my laptop to full 100% but the day after i press the laptop on...i played it for 2 hours and saw the battery on 50% so i decide to charge it..so plug in the adaptor but it didn't seem to charge..i try wriggling gently still no help.....N no i havent dropped it. PLESE HELPP
