Does an Amethyst stone also bring good luck to people born under the star sign pisces?

I brought a Amethyst stone the other day and was told aside from it being a spiritual and healing stone its also one that can bring good luck to people born under the pisces star sign .... is this true or does it just allow the holder to create his or her own good luck by believing the stone will bring them luck ?
