Why do some christions believe its a sin to drink alcohal?

Some Christians belive that if you drink you will get drunk, i suppose that is sorta logical really. Drunkeness affects how you think and and act so you are not in control. that is what is wrong. most Christains do drink (i do) but try not to overload it lol
